Here's my honest review of our most recent trip to the Children's Discovery Museum in Las Vegas. Pluses: Clean A lot of exhibits Visually spectacular, especially the multi-level playground in the middle Large elevators Minuses: There were a lot of workers, but none of them came up and demonstrated the exhibits There could have at least been clear instructions or pictures so kids knew what to do (most had them, some didn't) Would be nice if they offered a dairy free alternative for lactose intolerant kids (demo on 3rd floor) The exhibits themselves were very cool. My son enjoyed the dinosaur exhibit, particularly the dinosaur eggs and putting the food chain in order. He also had a blast crossing the netted tunnel and maneuvering down the netted steps. I could tell it was challenging him to think in new ways. I had fun watching the components of the water exhibit and appreciated that raincoats were provided for the kids. Again, it would have been nice if there were people explaining the stations and giving demos (specifically people who understand the science behind the experiments). My husband enjoyed the real world experiences in which kids were able to work for a paycheck. I could tell my son liked being able to do the things he sees us do like going shopping at the grocery store. He also liked making a smoothie at the Jamba Juice station for his dad. All in all it was a great experience and definitely something we will do again. We only spent a couple hours there and could have spent a lot more time working through each area. There was so much to learn! If you're in Vegas and you have kids go check out the Discovery Children's Museum.
